Chairman of the Northern Regional Association, Abdulai Alhassan has confirmed the report of the various Regional Football Association (RFA)chairmen writing to the Ghana Football Association requesting for a new vehicle for operations.
“Yes is true we[RFA Chairmen] have written to the GFA to buy us new vehicle for the regional association because every institution change it Vehicle periodically”.
“So there is nothing wrong, the RFA asking for new vehicle”.
Abdullai Alhassan indicated, the expenses on a car for maintenance cost is higher than purchasing a new one.
“I must tell you the amount we spend on maintenance is huge than buying new vehicles”.Abdulai Alhassan told AGYENKWA FM.
Alhassan continued by saying an institution can’t use a vehicle more than 4-5 years in Ghana. Other than that, one will be running the company down, if the vehicle is over used it becomes the burden of the company.
“We the RFA runs the activities of the GFA and must have vehicles, every institution has vehicle to run your company, the RFA is running day-to-day activities”.
“The vehicles are for the regions to work with not their personal use” – He added.
